Did Brittney Griner call Catlin Clark a F***king White Girl?

One headline read, "Brittney Griner Denies Saying 'F--king White Girl' About Caitlin Clark in Viral Video." Another headline said, "Brittney Griner unequivocally denies saying racial slur in viral clip." Here is some background to the story.

In May 2025, the WNBA's Atlantic Dream lost to the Indiana Fever. Dream star Brittney Griner reacted to a foul call allegedly calling Fever's Catlin Clark a "f**king white girl." That is what internet lip readers thought she said when they looked at the video. For three weeks, no one asked Griner about what she said. That's because the liberal media protects its liberal friends. Finally, this month, OutKick's Dan Zaksheske was given the opportuity to ask Griner about what she said when she fouled out of the game against the Fever. Griner responded,

"I remember fouling out, being mad...I really can't remember what I said, honestly."

Remember, the shortest sentence is the best sentence; "I can't remember what I said." Griner used the word "really" to convince us she doesn't remember what she said. This reminds me of Corey Harrison of Pawn Stars. In attempting to purchase an item from a customer, Corey told the seller, "I really can't go any higher than that." It turned out Corey did go higher in order to seal the deal.

The second word that is not needed is the word "honestly." This is a word that indicates untruthfulness. Again, Griner is trying to convince us she doesn't remember.

Getting back to our headlines. Zaksheske followed up by asking Griner if it is possible she said "f**king white girl." Griner answered,

"I would never say that. There's no place for that in our league and I wouldn't say that...I know it wasn't that because I wouldn't use that type of language."

So, where is the denial? Where is the unequivocal denial? Saying, "I would never say that" is not the same thing as saying, "I didn't say that."
